SCAMPP's organizational needs and monthly newsletter are funded strictly through membershp dues, which really is not enough. Therefore SCAMPP participates in various Pet Expos, Pet Faires and Adoption Events in which we are able to sell small items and collect donations. SCAMPP can only support rescues as funds allow.

Help Needed

Although SCAMPP has many members, a lot of our members reside out of the area or have jobs and/or other obligations that prevent them from participating in our events.

We have local members who work at our SCAMPP Booth at various events and many times they bring their socialized and friendly potbellied pigs to show off.

We sell piggy items, hand out informational literature regarding potbellied pig care and club information, and answer many questions regarding potbellied pigs.

If you have a friendly and socialized potbellied pig(s) that you'd like to show off, or if you are interested in helping at any of our events, please contact Peggy at peggy@scampp.com or 951-685-0467.

Donations Gladly Accepted

Examples of Donations Needed:

Monetary Donations for vet services, needs of rescued piggies, support of sanctuaries and various organizational needs

Donations of items to sell at our SCAMPP Booth at various public events

Donations of blankets, bedding, kiddie swimming pools, feed, housing materials, kennels, crates, etc for rescued piggies

We have several events upcoming in which we will be participating in. At all of the events we participate in, we set up our "SCAMPP Booth" in which:

  • SCAMPP Members will be available at our booth to answer questions about pet pigs.

  • Live Pet Pigs will be on display.

  • Free educational information regarding pigs as pets.

  • Pet pig adoption info will be available.

  • Piggy items are usually available for sale and/or donations accepted as a fundraiser for our organization.

June 21, 2013 (Friday) - SCAMPP will be doing an educational presentation at The Ruff House Pet Resort in Riverside for their Kids Summer Camp.

June/July 2013 - SCAMPP will take a field trip to The Corona Pumpkin Farm for boysenberry picking. Exact date and time TBA or for more info, contact Peggy at peggy@scampp.com or 951-685-0467.

July 19 and July 26, 2013 (both Fridays) - Riverside Animal Shelter Critter Kiddz Camp - SCAMPP will be doing a presentation that includes some basic pig info and care, and then some training demonstrations.

July 30, 2013 (Tuesday) - Annual Critter Carnival - at Perris Hill Park, 1001 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino. This is in conjunction with The Farmer's Market. The Critter Carnival is from 6pm to 8pm, but the Farmer's Market is open till 9:30pm. There will be many animal-related booths, craft booths and food vendors. Also beginning at 8:15pm is a FREE performance of "Pinocchio" performed by Junior Varsity in the amphitheater. For more info, contact Peggy at peggy@scampp.com or 951-685-0467.
