Hoping to find a cute piggy for my home here in Northern California. :0) Prefer a female baby, but would be flexible to male or 5 to 7 year old spayed / neutered piggy that isn't more than 120 pounds with good disposition and is okay with dogs (just 2). I would like to be able to have piggy with us inside at night and have a doggy door so she/he can come and go, in and out. Have outside shelter for the piggy, as well, and a back yard for her/him to cruise around. If an adult, would like the piggy to be comfortable with a harness so I can also take her/him for walks to the park that is through the gate in my back yard, behind my house, with a LOT of grass to eat and root around in. Admin reply: Thank you for your post. I have referred your e-mail to a few members who help place pigs that need homes into homes that want a pig. I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner. If you have already gotten your piggy, please let me know. Peggy@scampp.com

I'm new to this site and until now gad never heard of the organization. I have ALWAYS wanted a pot bellied pig to raise from a baby up, but had NO idea so many were abandoned. Now I will seriously plan on adopting. Thank you for your site, organization, all the information you provide, and most of all, saving these precious piggies from disasterous fatalities!! Jeanette Admin reply: Thank you for your post. The reason SCAMPP participates in so many events is to try to educate the public about the proper needs and care of potbellied pigs. So many folks get these pigs and really do not know how to properly care for them, thus causing neglect and abandonment of many potbellied pigs. Many folks also believe the MYTH that these pigs will stay tiny, and when they find out otherwise, they decide to dump these pigs. Therefore, sanctuaries and foster homes are overloaded with these precious pigs that need homes. Please adopt, do not buy from breeders. SCAMPP publishes a monthly newsletter that you can subscribe to, which has great information, great & fun articles, and helps keep you in touch with fellow potbellied pig lovers. E-mail info@scampp.com for more info!

I was informed of SCAMPP from a friend I met at the vet while getting our piggys fixed. I had heard and read that I was probably dooped about the size of my pot belly pig. After reading articles on your site I'm sure my piggy, Samson, will be much bigger than I was told he would be. I now need to know how much to feed and how to care for a larger piggy. I'm very thankful to have found your site/organization. I have found much needed info. Thank you Chris Admin reply: Thanks for your contact. Please e-mail us at info@scampp.com and we can give you some personalized info. Otherwise check out the links on our "PIGGY INFO" page. It would be great if you keep us posted on your piggy.

I was at the animal expo yesterday 4/21/12 cus I'm an animal lover but as soon as I've seen the piggys I. Was in love.. I've been wanting to purchase a teacup pig for a long time now I know where to get all the info.. couldn't be any happier Admin reply: Thank you for visiting our booth(s). We have two booths set up every year at the Costa Mesa Pet Expo (Orange County Fairgrounds, CA). If you wish to adopt a precious piggy, please contact us, we have many pigs who need homes, therefore we strongly advise adopting rather that purchasing from breeders.
